Travel insurance for Senegal

You should not hesitate to take out travel insurance when visiting Senegal. While it is unlikely that you will experience something requiring a claim, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Violent crime is rare in Senegal, and while there is certainly petty theft, you don’t have to be worried about getting mugged in broad daylight or anything like that. The biggest risks in Senegal involve road travel. If you are involved in a serious accident, you may need to be flown out of the country to receive medical care.

In general, we recommend World Nomads as a reliable travel insurance carrier with excellent coverage and customer service.
